I had a Panda that was very simillar and was a great car and I've driven the 500 and it seems an alright car apart from the big speedo which I didn't like. They drive alright and for what they are they're quite nippy and easy to park.
They don't seem to depreciate either so if thats something that affects your decisions

my daughter has one she loves it great on fuel and cheap on insurance, road tax 30.00 and fiat are doing good deals at the moment so all good from our point of view,if your local come and have a look im sure it would be fine we are in scunthorpe

My wife has one and she loves it, £30.00 a year road tax and cheap running costs.
Not a bad little car

We have the Petrol By Diesal Version. Its pretty cool and wife loves it.

Its a bit slow for me, I miss the power of the Kit car or the Turbo when im driving it.

It's a lot, lot better than the Mini.

My son has a 500 Abarth, little flying machine with razor handling. However it does cause a 25 year old single lad to complain about the ride harshness.

Hes had it a year, no issues at all.

The wife's got a 500c Twinair , for a 875cc engine it punches way above its weight, great fun little go-cart and no tax

If it wasn't any good, Ford wouldn't have reskinned it as the Ka

Beware of accident damage, the occupancy cell is so strong, that if it does bend, it is almost impossible to pull straight, I have seen some really bodged ones.

a few of the staff at work have them and rate them very highly

My daughter's got the new sport edition, interior is very nice on them.
nice sporty seats and all the interior plastics are dark grey rather the light grey of earlier ones.
also no stupid colours on the dash/steering wheel like earlier ones

We've had a 58 plate 1.4 16v 'Sport' since almost new, now with 70k on the clock. Its been an excellent little car in pretty much all respects (build quality isnt brilliant though).

Thank you for all the info .
It sounds like it's going to be a car high on the list of what car to replace the old corsa b we have /Wife has
The only concern she has is the size of the boot for all her JUNK no sorry shopping
There is a nice 500 just down the road we will have to go and try
Thank's a lot

I was put off by the interior quality, but then its a cheap (ish) italian car so its to be expected.

If you can get past that then they are well reviewed and very popular so must be doing something right.

we tested a 500, but the other half decided the boot was too small and went for a punto. i felt like i was sitting too high in the 500, but girls seem to like cars where you are sat high, go guess it works for most.
