Took 'em for a ride
907 - 17/8/17 at 05:04 PM

We had rellies call today, and naturally a tour of the garage was called for, then a ride down to the village.

Passed a woman walking her dog in front of the primary school. A blip of throttle and down to 3rd, another and we found 2nd
and after a spirited wiz round the triangle junction that still sports an old red telephone box I found 3rd and headed back home.

At this point I noticed the woman again, holding her hands over her dogs ears. Laugh, I laughed like a drain.

Does this make me a hooligan ? I do hope so.

There are times when I think it's time to sell and move on.......... but then.... nooooo.

My passenger loved it btw. He called it.. "An experience".

"growing older is compulsory, growing up is optional"

I refuse to grow up.

That is sooo funny

It's little life moments like this that make us older'uns feel young.

Blooming boy racer, that's what you are.

Fancy terrorising poor Muttly. Our Westie rides in the passengers seat , he's not the slightest bit bothered .

Our Yorkie is the same, just loves to be out for a ride.

Took him out in the boat recently to watch the Red Arrows air display.
He sat on the cabin roof & just watched them fly by.

Paul - I do relate to your situation. I often take people out for a slow spin in the Roadster (not a Sutol I know but a good substitute) I tell them I am going to take it easy and actually believe that myself. Out of the drive, left into Wellington Road and 50 yards to the junction with Hillside and left again and ... something happens ... the throttle gets floored, 7000 rpm change to second and then brakes for the next junction. Looking at dashcam vids after it's interesting to see the passengers head bang back onto the headrest and forwards at gearchange!
I do try not to do it but..
Another hooligan
Oops!

Careful - some miserable bugger will get you section 59'd.

People who treat their dogs like babies are in my opinion bit odd. There is a lady around my way who pushes her dog around in a pram. All the dog seems to want to do is run freeeee!

It's like when I see hairy dogs with a little coat on - why?! I could understand if it was one of those hairless rat-like dogs, but not something with a perfectly adequate coat of its own.

As for being a hoonigan - the 18-year-old son of my wife's friend likes cars, so on his birthday I took him out for a drive. Apparently it took about a day for his big silly grin to disappear...
