Terraced house front wall
corrado vr6 - 21/2/16 at 07:58 PM

Hi there, does anyone know if I need permission to demolish my garden front wall?
It's currently breeze block and I want to replace it with a brick wall, it's not a party wall just a boundary wall between the garden and pavement.
Do I need to notify anyone etc?
Thanks in advance

Knock it down in the dark and say it was hit by a car.. Get some bricks and a handy man with a trowel.. Sorted.

It is possibly stated as a covenant in your deeds, but I doubt it states the material. Certainly I have owned houses that specified the proportions of permitted walls. As above, chances are no one will be bothered as long as it looks in keeping with the house/street.
