Any body else building an avon from scatch using the awful dudley book?
After many days of farication and painting im now starting to see the fruits of my labour.I put the engine in last week

looking good, i built mine from the book too, got mine legal a year ago,
The only thing i wished i had the bodywork when i made the chassis as the round tube could have done with moving a bit wider to suit the bodywork
Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary... that's what
gets you.

how does the avon handle?does the steering has self centring build in?

i think it handles very well, although i have never driven any other 7's
Self centering is built in but i have modified my set-up a bit with camber adjusters and rose joints

They fronts are the RMD ones from rally design, cost a bloody fortune with the ally hubs and wilwoods but look nice though and the rear ones i made
myself.
