My road race locost part build - huge spec huge sadness

Well, looks like the house is probably sold and the house my wife wants has no garage.................................After tossing a coin, fate means it's the car that has to go, not the wife.

It's on the bay

Item 270640340228

I don't know what else to say. Would like to sell to an enthusiast off here really. I've spent well over £6k to this point, offers invited, viewing recommended. Anybody got a lower spec but road going one to swap with? - it'll be on the road mind. Or a car for my wife?...

Oh the pain

I know, you are all right. But. No room for garage. Garages not available nearby at reasonable cost - this is central Bath we are talking about. House needs major work so I wil be expected to do/project manage all that - not play cars. No drive either so car would be on road afterwards and I'm not happy about that. Hard top kit car to swap anywhere??

I know. I know. But, it happens to meet the requirements of the other members of the family, and some, if not all, of mine. This house is bigger and better located geographically. My wife points out that as she has no toys and I have a small yacht, 2 motorcycles and a car under construction it is therefore ME who is going to compromise(this time), not her. Which, I guess is fair enough. My present home is not conveniently positioned but has a garage. Purchase home is bigger, better located, has a basement to develop, but, has no garage.....

Me thinks the wife has to go ?
she sounds unreasonable to me

Much as my wife drives me scatty somtimes, yet has never complained about sportscars/m/bikes, or 5k worth of R/C planes in the garage, and if we were to move, all my toys would need to put somwhere, and in her words NOT THE HOUSE

so a garage it will be!

'develop the basement' ..... is that not an underground garage????

Only issue i've got with the g/f is the suggestion that the next house can have as big a garage as i want as long as her kitchen is the same size (i'm trying to negotiate a 4 to 1 ratio in favour of the garage).

I think you mean our kitchen Convert downstairs into open plan job done. Sit in the car and watch TV and drive through the kitchen for dinner.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

if its 'her' kitchen, then she's doing the bulk of the cooking (she does love to cook so its not a hardship on either part). It also means i can banish her from 'my' garage

Car or wife?

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

You must be seriously under the thumb

EDIT:
Any wife wirth her salt, will realise that her Boy MUST have his Toy(s)

I would start having late nights out at the pub... Well you havent got a garage to go and play in, so you have to go to the pub instead.

I am sure she will see reason in the end.

1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
