pinto pistons

hi all, just wondering where is to get a set of pistons for a pinto, ideally to make it close to or a 2.1.

i do not want forged through as they are expensive

and rods, can i run standard rods, on bigger pistons or should i upgrade them to?

cheers

2.8 V6 pistons are what you want

Stuart, I have all the info you need on pistons rods etc in a pinto I will u2u with my email.
As a starting point I found Ford 2.8 V6 pistons on eBay £160 that had been machined to use cosworth circlips, these fit to cosworth rods and give the correct deck height. Cosworth rods can be picked up for £100 to £150
The other option is pinto +2.25 pistons that will fit on standard rods, these are about £200.
Going 2.1 gains some torque but if you came across good set of +90 pistons cheaper then go for them and spend your money on the head.
I have several cams in my collection, used but in good condition, for a fellow Locoster and Essex kit car club member I would sell on at what I paid
