As people have said it depends how much mountain your bike will actually be seeing. If you are planning on going to some trail centres and/or doing
some decent rides off the fire track roads then a £1000 full sus will perform well beyond the average beginner/intermediate riders abilities. If you
just want to get out into the country side and will be doing some road riding and fire roads then a hard tail will be great and they can still handle
the rough stuff, you just wont get as comfy a ride.
