There not stupid money new, a google or forum search will find the links £30 for a standard polo jobbie.

I have an old copper ford type going for scrap value (call it a pint, collected) if its any use or local.

Scrap value is WAY more than a pint these days (I got nearly £30 for 2 copper radiators that were beyond use)

But yes, get on ebay or one of the rad specialists, they really are cheap!

One of these and a good oil cooler should be adequate.

Bare in mind its the core size quoted there, so you may want one a little narrower:

I'm after one as well to cool my BMW 2.8 straight 6 in my Viento (about 230 hp with modifications). I'm interested in the last post by loggyboy on this. Will a radiator designed for a Golf 1.6 really cool a 2 litre plus straight 6? If so, I've been looking in the wrong price range for mine and a quick trip to the scrappy should yield something that would work well

If your looking for an uprated aluminium rad these are good (first link) , but it is a lot of money. A golf mk2 gti 16v rad is a good upgrade but the inlet and outlet are on the right hand side. lf buying golf rad check sizes first as a few sizes were used

How about one of these for £85 including the fan. They also sell them for £70 without the fan

Good idea but would be too high and get in the way of the ducting for the intercooler. I its a bugger really as nothing production wise is quit the right size or price!
