when you start this journey
you think it will be done in " no " time but then " no " turns into a " bloody " long time

If there off the engine blow down the mid bottom pipe then turn the carbs over if you cant blow then its the fuel in pipe and the top pipes are breather pipe
that's how it is on zx9r carbs

this is only a guess
there the same as mine

They are just vent breather pipes, they just go into the airbox on the bike.

The pipes between the carbs that comes from the right are vent pipes, the middle one is the vent breather pipe.

Just to add, ive just fitted a pipercross to my fireblade, and just left these open to atmosphere, but you could get some little filters to fit on them

As already said, its just a breather vent pipe, goes to the bottom of the airfilter on the bike, you can just leave as is, or fit a little breather filter on it, or pipe it into the airbox your making

Just a point worth mentioning, leave the top vent pipes in place, although they can be just left to vent, they are the float bowl overflow pipes, so if a float bowl sticks you don't want fuel allover the engine, so just leave the pipes to vent down the side of the engine towards the floor
