Book states 1" for wishbone anchors

Hi People.

The book states 1" for the wishbone anchors, (the round tube on the wishbones themselves, where they anchor to the body)

But I've found these on ebay Haynes Roadster Locost Front Wishbone Bushes in Poly - 10% OFF for my atom replica build.... the diameter of "that bit" being 29mm

I'm looking to purchase my steel for this part of the build, and can't decide what I need. Any help would be appreciated.

The 1 inch tube is for the wishbones themselves, not the 'anchors'. The tube required for the bushes is the 33.7mm seamless. It's a bit awkward to find but is a standard size, I got about 1.5m for all the wishbones.

If you end up using 33.7x3mm welded tube make sure the seam faces the open end of the 25mm 'leg' when you weld it.

I machined mine from 1", but that's 1" nominal bore SCH 80 machined out to 25mm bore.

Thats the stuff that you would thread 1" BSP

Do you have to own a Suttol to be a member or can I be an Associate member if I have parts on my car made by a Suttol owners club member?

Note that they're not seamless, so take into account what Talon mentioned about burying the seam inside the weld.

Mmmmm, dodgy one that. I've never associated with anyone before.

You could of course make me the sort of offer that I couldn't refuse.
