Can't recommended any but don't fall into the trap of mounting the cameras high looking down as all you see is the top of the burglar and not the important part the face view.

3.9Ltr SSC Stylus should be fun

Agreed on the camera locations.

I went homebrew with BlueIris and find it great.. uses a variety of IP Cameras (so you can use different types in different areas) and just installs on an old Windows Box. Can also be set to just record based on movement which is awesome.

Last year I fitted an 8 camera system from www.domar.com which were 5MP cameras which I cant fault.

I Installed all the hardware then through a remote access portal Domar configured it all.

I also bought my kit from Domar. good price/quality/service

One thing I would say, its that as hkp57 post, they can be fiddly to set up if you are not network/pc savvy. (Generally, not a Domar gripe)

I recently replaced my Box (retained the existing cameras) and its working great , but I still haven't got remote web-access fixed yet!

Many thanks to all for the advice and tips etc.

Never considered putting the cameras lower, for a better image/shot !!

Obviously, need to think about it.

A big thanks again to all !!

for any remotely accessible cameras, (or any other systems!) ensure you change from the 'default' passwords.

Watch for misleading resolutions, a lot of kits listed as HD have the ability to record in HD, but the cameras will be lower spec. or vice versa.

Depend whether you want an IP based system or analogue.
The newer analogue using either AHD or TVI formats are fast moving up in resolution, personally I think the IP based systems are easier to install run a patch lead to the camera and off you go and image clarity can be stunning but the kit is dearer.
A lot of kit out there is sold as HD but if you look at the spec the cameras are only 960h whereas resolution on the true HD cameras is 2.4 megapixel or even 4 Megapixel on the latest cameras.
If you u2u me the spec your after I can sort you a price.
Regards,
Bob
