2009 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Engine
This engine has a traceable history.
I bought it a few months ago from Austen Greenway. He told me that he had not used it during his ownership.
He advises that he bought it from Matt Higginson who had carried it as a spare.
He intimated that the engine had been rebuilt by AB Performance a couple of seasons ago and that it had not been run by himself or Matt since.
I have not used it either, and I have a newer Blade engine which is now up and running - the 2009 lump is therefore surplus to my requirements.
So, to the best of my knowledge - 0 miles since the AB rebuild.
The rebuild comprised:
AB Performance Billet-Sump with Baffle and Pick-Up
New piston rings
New con-rods
New rod-bolts
New main bearing shells
New big-end shells
New head gasket
New Stretch bolts
New Clutch Diaphragm / Spring Kit
Had valves lapped-in and clearances set
I noted that the engine has the 2008 MY (gold coloured) engine casings, so I spoke with Andy a while back and he confirmed the rebuild details. He
also told me that he would have used the first set of casings that came to hand when rebuilding it.
It will come with the following new parts that I have fitted finger-tight:
NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
Pairs Delete Blanking Plates
Water Pump Delete Kit
K&N Oil Filter (type with bolt welded on)
Stainless Exhaust Studs and Bolts
It will come with the following 'used', but fully operational parts:
2008/2009 Throttle Bodies and Injectors
2008/2009 Air Box (with Secondary Injectors)
2008/2009 Coils
2008/2009 Starter
Oil-Cooler Take-Off Sandwich Plate
You won't find cheaper at £2,450!
The engine can come with the following ancillaries that I have accrued along the way, but no longer need:
2008/2009 HISS Lockset and ECU
2008/2009 Wiring Loom
2008/2009 Fuel Pump
2008/2009 Regulator / Rectifier
2008/2009 Clocks (40-ish k miles on these, but there are companies out there who can reset them to your own vehicle mileage)
I will not consider selling any of these ancillaries until after a deal has been struck for the engine.
Let me know what parts you would be interested in and I'll work out a price.
I'll heavily discount these prices if the parts go with the engine!

engine and parts on a strong pallet and assist a haulier of your choosing to collect (unlikely to cost you more than £80).

PS - also have a 2013 Blade engine which is available. Can come with all ancillaries (including the natty 2012 > digital clocks!). I could also
put the AB Billet sump currently on the 2009 on it if someone wanted it.
I have most 'bypass / speed-healing' modules for car use. From memory, I only think it needs the steering-damper bypass module (about
£50).
Its fresh from a low mileage bike and is very clean.
