Locost with Sierra Donor
Hi Guys,
I'm going to build a Locost, as detailed in Ron Champions book. However, Escort MKII parts are becoming difficult to source so i'd like
to use Sierra rear axle, diff, front hubs etc.
Has anyone else done this and does anyone know how the dimensions of the chassis design need to be changed to accomodate this?
Cheers,
Rich.

Do a search on here and you will find that probably 80% of people are using Sierra donors.
Do you want to build as per book? or buy a kit. If you want to build then the book front end will do you, with different wishbones to suit the sierra
uprights. There are plans for a de dion rear end that fits on the back of a book front end and that uses all the standard sierra bits on
www.gtstuning.co.uk.
Welcome to the site btw
Cheers,
David

Why not come along to the Northants group meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
You'd be very welcome.
Good luck with your build.

Cheers David. I might well do that (I work in Northampton anyway, at Weston Favell nick). Where is the venue? I've got a mate with a
Westfield who'd also be keen to tag along.

We meet at Overstone Manor, along the road between Ecton and Sywell. Usually around 8:00 to 8:30.
Hope to see you there.
