IVA Pass @ Leighton Buzzard!

Following on from my fail last week, I managed to get a re-test this morning and have now PASSED!!!

Made a slight diversion to the Peterborough DVLA office on the way home.
Got the timing spot on as the only person that knows how to process kit cars had been off for 4 weeks and today was his first day back!
He was a top bloke too - he went through all the paperwork with me, took my cash, and inspected the car while I was there and said I should get the tax disc and reg number through the post next week. Can't wait!

Congratulations on the pass........I passed IVA at Leigton Buzzard in 2011, if the same bloke I seem to recall sharp edges were his passion but he was very helpful.

Thanks guys!

Bumble - I'm pretty sure it was the same guy (Doug), he's been there 10-odd years apparently.
He's a good bloke, but very thorough and seems to be able to quote the IVA manual word for word!

I'd happily go back there if I ever built another car. I wouldn't expect a first time pass though!

Yup, Doug Sharp(e?) is the man, very helpful and knowledgeable guy. He passed my J15 last year. Helped his brother build a Fury some years back.

Thanks all!

I was hoping you'd pass yours on Thursday too Dave. Have you got your re-test booked yet?

Yes all booked; pushed it back a bit though as wasn't sure how long it'd take to get some replacement seats (which actually turned out to be a good idea as they don't arrive until the end of this week!)

Nice one, best of luck with the re-test! Hopefully won't be too long before you're on the road now.

In other news I got my reg number and tax disc this morning
Can't wait to get home and get the kids to bed so I can go out for a blast!!
