Zetec, CAT etc

Hi guys,

Knowing my new build will have to have a CAT, engine is a Silvertop but post 1995. What CAT have people used for IVA and what distance between CAT and fiberglass body pannel?

Cheers!

Don’t waste your money on the Chinese £40 posted things.
I tried one but it would not flow.
I then fitted a 200 cel Magnaflow cat and it works.
Mot not Iva but it’s the same test.
The nearer the head the better as they work better when hot but packaging will dictate where it goes. In a kit.

Hi ya,

Yeah wasn't going to go cheap. Looking at 4 pipe in to 4 way collector inside chassis if I can, then single pipe out and CAT as close to where it exists body, hence also question of distance from body

You want to get as much heat out of the engine bay as you can.

Yep exactly, was aiming for like your pic, 4 to one, one out the body I'm to cat as close to body exit. All exhaust under bonnet wrapped.
Airfilter will be isolated from under bonnet and in direct cold air flow from bonnet vent
