picked up a 2.9i twin turbo granada scorpio of ebay, not 24v. Was going to use for another project but consider it for a locost. Are they a good donor?

Its also a k plate 93 would this need a cat? for the locost

most of the bits are simmilar to sierra Items however all the suspension components are a bit on the heavy side. I have a locost built with sierra abs suspension bits which are almost the same as granada except for being 4 stud. If you do build with a granada donor expect a finished weight of between 600 and 800 kg kerb.

but with the doner 2.9 twin turbo fitted does that matter.

Granada Front hubs are bigger than Sierra and the mushroom adaptors don't fit.
Engine, gearbox, diff, drive shafts, instruments cluster, steering column & brakes all fit but better swaping the discs for equivalent sierra sized discs when using sierra front hubs and change the rear drive plates/wheel flanges to those from the sierra rear disc set up or the later scorpio granada.
With the granada you also get a copious supply of wiring.

Great! then you won't have any trouble powering the aircon controls, leccy windows, remote fuel filler etc. on your seven

BuŁŁer. my granada didn't have aircon. mind you the electrically adjusted rear seat have come in dead handy. Invert the motors and youv'e got rear ride height adjustment.
