Tiger CAT E1 - Project (needs engine work)
spoonana - 26/8/19 at 06:02 PM

Listed for sale is my Tiger CAT E1.

It has been sat for the last two years and therefore will require work to get working. Engine turns however it will need to be trailered away. Please be aware the car is 17 years old and the condition reflects that.

GOOD POINTS
Registered as a Tiger Sports car on age releated plate
2.0 Pinto Engine 205 block
Twin 40 Dellorto Carbs
Type 9 5 speed gearbox
14" Smiths alloy wheels
Falken tyres with less than 20 miles use
Chassis is in good condition
Intatrim Dominator seats
Full weather kit with doors and hood
Roll bar
Sierra rear diff
Spare wheel carrier
Digital Dash

AVERAGE POINTS
Bodywork is mostly tidy but there are a few marks and chips all around
Wheels do have a couple of kerb marks

BAD POINTS
Brakes are seized and will likely require replacing
Speedo has never been wired up so millage isn't exact and always reads 0 mph
fuel gauge is in reverse
A few rust marks around the car.
Engine does turn but doesn't fire
Doesn't have a current MOT
Car is a CAT D

Unfortunatly due to work comitments and a lack of understanding around some of the work required means I am unable to complete the work. The car is to be sold as it is.

The work required wouldn't be to strenuous for a professional and could be ready to go ahead of the summer.

I'm asking £3,500 because of the work required. Working cars are fetching £5k plus. Open to offers but nothing silly. Feel free to ask any questions.

Looks like a real bargain for someone Mate, GLWS

BUT....I'd recommend removing the pictures with your reg, and more particularly the VIN number, as unscrupulous people may get to see them.

Or at least wipe those bits out.

Poor Tiger. I feel like buying it just to give it some love.

What made it a Cat D?

It was involved in a flood which meant the interior was ruined. Mechanically everything was fine. But it meant it became an insurance write off.
