locost supplier for cleco fasteners?
alistairolsen - 30/6/09 at 09:30 AM

Ebay have 5 in any combination of sizes you want with pliers for about 30 quid

demon tweeks have 300, but in a set distribution of 75 in each of four sizes, with pliers and a tray for 52 quid.

Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

Cheers

Cheers Benzine

pliers for a fiver and 33p for the fasteners...

thats more than the demon tweeks and less than ebay. Can probably get away with less than the 300, buy 100 fasteners and the pliers for 40 quid or something.

Any other suggestions?

I used primary fasteners, they do thumb screw type; and are very helpful worth ringing up. Only needed about ten was enough to secure all that was required, they also do good quality Avex (think that's the name) multi grip rivets; so much better than normal Pop rivets.. But not quite as good as structural ones..

second the Yardstore there is also Browntools,
All above are aircraft tool suppliers.

the clecos are great for bracket s and small jobs but if say you want to pull the alu around the chassie the thumb ones are better you can get cleco power pegs and peg gun if you want to spend a bit .
