Need a machine shop to fit two helicoils to a small engine for me

Chaps

I've a small 30cc 2 stroke engine I use in my RC car. It's stripped the thread a couple of times where it bolts the exhaust Manifold on. I've drilled and remapped this but it's ultimately not held. I need to helicoil it. I'm in Bedfordshire and work in maidenhead and Newbury quite a bit. Anyone know somewhere I could get this little job done?

Thanks

Like so? THREAD REPAIR KIT METRIC M5 5MM CAN BE USED WITH HELICOIL INSERTS

Looks like the kit I used for my calliper brackets on the 7, it was quite easy and gave a good result.

What size did you re tap it out to ?

If you just ran a tap through the M5 you will be able to use an m5 kit. If you went to M6 You will need an M6 kit. Is there enough meat to tap it for the insert ?

A quality M5~M6 kit will set you back £20~£25 but to be honest a cheap ebay kit should be fine for what you need and its quicker to do it your self than get in the car and take it some where.
