i have a airbag warning light on the alfa159 and an mot due in six weeks.
have plugged a snap on diagnostic in and it has come up with the following code B103A
anybody got a book with the codes in it?
any help at all is very welcome

I don't have a book of fault codes and the laptop that has my alfadiag installed has gone awol but I do remember a similar code on my 156 which
turned out to be a faulty multi-connector under the drivers seat. It's worth disconnecting the multi-plug and gicing it a good clean with
electrical contact cleaner (or brake cleaner) and check for damage or green pins. Also check the passenger side one too. Have you tried switching the
passenegr airbag off to see if that helps?

it is a mot failure and you can't take the bulb out as it is checked that the light comes on with the ignitoon and then goes out when you start
the car.
The only reference to that code I can find anywhere on the internet is an Excel Workbook from the Czech Republic that contains a list of DTCs.
Couldn't tell you what Make or Model it is for I am afraid. If I have interepreted your code right the second number being zero indicates it is
manufacturer specific, so this may be of no help whatsoever, but just in case:

99 times out of a 100 it is one of the connectors under the seat but take care with airbags and pre-tensioner, turn the ignition off remove the
keys and wait 15 to 20 minutes before working on the --- keep the keys in safe place away from to prevent the buttons or transponder chip
activating anything Personally I preffer to have the battery disconnected.
Disconnect the sensors connectors under the seat clean with switch cleaner and disconect and reconnect a few times spray with contact grease
before finally reconnecting.
I'd suggest that you do what owelly says, it's almost always the case that a poor contact is the cause. Alfa techs usually also put a cable tie round the thing once the connector is pushed back in to make sure it is held together tightly.
