Zetec shortened sump (Scholar, raceline etc)
Hi,
Looking for a professionally made shortened sump which would be safe for track use (Dunnell, Scholar, Raceline etc)
Or recommendations on where to purchase reasonably priced alternatives.
Thanks,
Matt

Kitspares do their own version now or at least they sell an ATR Lowered sump for £300 which is a couple of hundred cheaper than the alternatives.

There is a guy called Niel Dunne that makes a fabricated steel sump. They are aimed at the F2 stock car market. His work is very highly regarded.
Gbs / kitspares where the best price I could find on the Raceline sump and being new you know all the parts needed are there. I’ve seen a couple
secondhand that have had parts missing.

I had 2 of the F2 brisca sumps and both had to be returned as they weren’t made correctly. They were catching on the rod bolts as the crank rotated

It was these... https://www.premiermotorsportdevelopments.co.uk/brisca-f2-zetec-sump-and-pick-up-pipe-1421-p.asp
I’m sure there’s more than 1 company making them, but these ones didn’t fit.

I looked at those mainly because of the price but only read negative reviews regarding this particular steel sump, if you look at the photos of this
sump Vs Neil Dunne or ATR steel dumps you can clearly see a difference in quality I feel.
I would be very interested hearing people’s experience of Neil Dunne or ATR (Kit spates) steel sump kits.

I was going for the ATR one, until a raceline sump came up cheap off a crashed gineta. I saw it at stonliegh and it does look good.

Yes I did but typically after I placed an order for the Neil Dunne sump and I work in Bristol also 😂
I’m happy with my choice though

Raceline
I spent a fortune on stupid sumps for my striker zetec racecar
The only sump worth buying is the Raceline one
Fit it and forget about any issues wish I hadn't waste all time and money on cheaper rubbish which is sitting in my garage roof space rotting
away
Wouldn't even try and sell them off second hand due to fact they are just plain useless
