K Series 1.8 RWD Conversion

HI all,
Are there any good threads/stickies on how to convert the 1.8 k series to rwd using OEM loom, ecu and inlet?

Cheers
H

Use the standard engine loom which has a multi plug on it to disconnect from main loom, match up the wires from the car and fit the other half of the multiplug to the main car loom.
Try metro power for lots of info.

Thanks Matt,

Is there a resource on LCB like there is for the Zetec, I cant find one. Metro power looks good but obviously RWD conversions is what Im really after.

Do not think there are that many people running the k series engines.
I have some experience of fitting them in 7's.
What do you need to no.

Look for "K Midget" stuff. It is quite a popular conversion and most use a Caterham bell housing and Type 9 gearbox.

Mk2 Reliant Sabre have the K series too - Caterham Bellhousing and type 9 with modified metro loom. I'm currently fitting one to an SS1 (previously CVH powered).

I am running tweaked 160vvc standard injection, caterham bell housing and v6 type 9 box.
With wosp starter, standard Ali sump, roller bearing spigot bearing homemade engine mounts with polo radiator along with freelancer remote thermostat.
If using the caterham bell housing you need the long shaft gearbox v6 type 9.
Very under rated engine once head gasket issues sorted.
