Gas regulator fitment

I probably already know the answer to this question but thought I’d ask the wise, can you use a top mount regulator in a side mount cylinder? I’m guessing you can but a flow meter would be useless?

TIA
Chris

My welding gas has the twin gauge on their side, the flow rate meter seems to work ok?

I run an acetelyne regulator on its side and it has always worked. My Argon regulator allows me to swivel the flow meter so whilst I do not need to I could turn it on its side.

Cheers for the answers, pleased to report you were correct worked fine with the gauges horizontal, managed to keep the flow meter vertical.
