Surface area x thickness (volume) x weight of 1m3 of the material (steel is 7752kg)


My mind goes back to my C & G exam, Advanced MMA.

The calculation question was work out the weight of a digger jib (drawing supplied)



This was part of my 7 year apprenticeship.
Now its multiple choice, tick one of three boxes, and you have to be really unlucky not to score 33%
