New Firefox

Hmmm, liking the new Firefox, similar to Chrome now, but seems to remember my passwords better than Chrome so it looks like I'm back to the old faithful again

Hi Jasper,

A quick dim question if you don't mind. What's involved in changing browser? I have been tempted by Chrome etc but concerned that it may be a PITA I'm stuck with IE.

Cheers,

Mike

Just download new browser here.. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/

install just like any other program... and begin enjoying it!

I'm glad it is not just me that was having problems with remembered passwords in Chrome

And the page layout is better in Firefox too.

Mike, just download Firefox, install and when it asks you if you want Firefox to be your default browser say yes, and it should also give you the option of importing all your bookmarks and passwords from IE too.

Dead simple

Thanks guys. If I'm feeling really brave I'll have a go at that later.

Cheers,

Mike

Stuck using IE at work. But Chrome gets my vote.
I like how it doesn't try and get in the way with lots of menus and buttons.

I have to say I used FF predominantly, I have Opera and Chrome on my computer (and of course IE) for testing our website but I used FF 99% of the time, only reverting to IE when websites are IE specific (Grrrrrr)....

Firefox 4 very slick and much faster than 3, no need for Chrome now, just binned it.

I use the lastpass addon for mozilla

really useful - creates secure passwords and stores them online

I never could get on with Chrome - it just didn't fit with my way of working. Plenty of other people love it though, so it's probably just me!
