'Security Tool' Virus Help!

Help!
My computer has picked up 'Security Tool' from somewhere and now my desktop is black and not showing any of my programmes/shortcuts.
I only have my normal task bar showing including the Security Tool icons.
Security tool keeps prompting me to clear up the virus' on my computer when in actual fact it wants me to buy it!
I've tried doing an AVG scan to pick it up and kill it but it never gets to the end of it's scan before the screen goes blue and there's some writing about needing to restart......and it restarts itself.

Sorry for the lame description

Excellent! Just killed it with Malwarebytes.
I lost my wallpaper and had to change my defult homepage from some random search engine but that seems to be the only 'issues'.

Thank you chaps
