I reckon 90% of us use that type some have used the DZUZ fasteners

handyandy - 30/10/10 at 08:01 PM

I,m interested in this topic as just about to buy my catches,

Has anyone used Dzus fasteners?
quite like the look of them as not so obvious to the eye so to speak, plus used them in my bike racing days,
may I ask if anyone has any negative comments regarding Dzus fasteners on a "7"?

sorry for hijack .

cheers
andy

Cheers guys

Thanks big_wasa for the link, im sure they are what i used on my last kit but couldnt quite remember where i go them from.
I did how ever get some like that recently but they are twise the size and may look a bit sill but then again i do have a wide body chassis so may not look too bad, we will see.

As far as the DZUZ fasteners go they are not really to my choice so i will pass on them but then each to our own but thanks for the sugestion.

I used these for SVA, added stainless R pin catches after for added security. 5 years on, the rubber catches are just starting to show signs of cracking/perishing.

The rubber over centre catches are probably the cheapest and easiest to fit for IVA.
Anything flush will pass but harder to fit

i used the aero style catches

http://www.aerocatch.com/category_sublist.php?catid=157&colorid=1&procatid=158

and was very happy with them

matt_gsxr - 30/10/10 at 09:06 PM

aerocatch
not sure if you can get them to work nicely with 7 type, but work well for me.
