How to rebuild m16 calipers with kit?
jossey - 6/1/13 at 09:33 PM

I have this kit but I can't work out what goes where....

I know where the big rubber seals go but the other two I have not seem whilst taking the old ones apart....

Is there a guide that someone has.....

Have you got the pistons out yet ? There is a rubber seal there and then there is a little rubber seal between the two halfs.

Yes pistons are out but there was nothing in under the pistons.

So the picture above the seal on the right goes under the piston?

Where does the metal one go please?

The metal retaining rings hold the dust cover's on

(If that's what your referring to)

You need to split the callipers or it is a nightmare fitting the metal ones as they need pressing in evenly, these retain the dust seals on the left, the right hand ones fit within the calliper, not on the piston.

Oh right I art of get you now... The ones on the right then where abouts do they go on the caliper? Under the dust cover or something?

Sorry but I've always had Sierra uprights till now....

yes split the aclliper the small seal is the seal between the callpers halves the largest ones are dust seale which go externally and are held on by the metal clips
