what trickle charger to get
mads - 14/7/12 at 02:58 PM

Afternoon all,
Just wondered what people have in terms of a trickle charger for their cars or bikes.

The battery on my bike went due to lack of usage so dont want that to happen to the new one. Was thinking of getting an Optimate 3+ but just wondered what everyone else uses?

It would mainly be for trickle charging the battery as I have a Halfords battery charger already. And it would be for the bike and kitcar (when finished).

Cheers,

mads

Get yourself a c-tek battery charger, I have one and it's great, it even recovered my bike battery 4 times, they are amazing and waterproof

As mentioned the Lidl or Aldi units tick all the right boxes for a very good price. Last time they came in on special was October so they should be coming in again soon -

Previous Aldi deal - £12.99

We use a 5W monocrytalline solar panel.
Works fine & free power

I got the same one from Lidl here in France, earlier this year. It's good.
