Anyone growing a moustache this month?
twybrow - 7/11/13 at 02:49 PM

I was just curious to know how many of the LCB members are growing a Mo in support of Movember? I have been looking forward to it for months - this year I can actually grow my own (albeit a ginger and patchy Mo at best!). So how many others are embarrassing themselves this month by sprouting a beautiful lip warmer?

For nayone not growing, please support me and others this month. The money goes to cancer research for testicular and prostate cancer, and for mental health support work - all within the UK. You can see, these are issues that each of us are likely to be affected by at some point in life, so I hope you can find a way to show you support!

Remember, no Mo, no mercy! ;-{)

My Mo Space

Many thanks, and good luck!

I thought it was a great idea last time, mine got scraped with a blunt razor with no shaving foam, at 3am on night shift....

That was after 3 weeks and 2 day, the relief at the ginger, grey itchy barsteward coming off was magnificent....

Love the idea of it, but not again. Good luck

I started well, but had to go to an important meeting clean shaven unfortunately. I have started again, however.

sdh2903 - 7/11/13 at 03:32 PM

I started well but the mrs donated 50 quid to my mates Movember as long as I shaved it off!

She never stipulated I couldn't start again tho!

Good luck!

Also I'm curious as to why my facial fuzz grows ginger as I'm dark brown collar and cuffs

Johneturbo - 7/11/13 at 03:48 PM

I'm doing it again this year, i'm going for the full trucker look!

good luck fellow Mo Bro's

top marks.

My effort is off to a flying start but I'm growing as a full beard. I find a bit of moisturizer is keeping the itching to a minimum. it strainge to thing that since I started shaving I have never let it grow for as long as 7 days before.

Last year I went for a full-on Gringo-tache. I've cheated this year for maximum comedy effect.............

You can't just go cave-man for a month! No mo, no mercy! Shave off that beard, and unleash your inner Mo!

Gents I am very impressed good effort! I want to see some photos of your lovely looking face fuzz - show us your Mo! Let me know if you see me in the Sun this month - I was interviewed, and had a photographer take about 70 photos of me last week - not sure when they are running the story, but some time this month!!

Mo the force be with you my hairy faced friends.

T66 - not a problem. You can show your support by sponsoring us instead! The life you save might well be your own! ;-{)

shh - same here. Brown hair and yet my face fungus is all different colours. I claim it is blondish brown, but really I know it is a little ginger! Oh well, it all adds to the fun!

MikeRJ - 7/11/13 at 04:52 PM

There are 17 of us at work attempting to grow a soup strainer. I haven't tried growing facial hair for about 20 years, and whilst it's not looking too stupid at the moment it's bloody itchy. There is also a depressing number of grey whiskers in the mix My wife absolutely hates it, but tough luck!

On the plus side, I joined the 5 week "tub club" here at work, and final weigh in is tomorrow. Just had a sneaky weigh and it looks like I'm going to hit my 10kg target with a little bit of margin. Now I just need to shed another 10kg and then I'll just be a fat b****rd instead of a full on porker

I tried to use that excuse when she moaned about mine, but it didn't seem to go down very well.

joneh - 7/11/13 at 06:01 PM

My wife has run three race for life's this years for Cancer Research, has run the Great South 8 times I think so far...

I can't be arsed to shave for a month.

hobbsy - 7/11/13 at 06:07 PM

I've not one on the go. Gone for the sideburns link up in a vaguely Lemmy from Motorhead style...

b3ngy - 7/11/13 at 07:22 PM

Yep, i'm doing it this year. Got a nice set of handle bars on the go. There's quite a few of us at work doing it so we have left a collection box at tool stores. One of them has cut in a 'monkeys tail'. Search it, its brilliant.

Yep, me too! Trouble is things are a little greyer these days .

It's Not exactly Paul Tutle Senior, but if it gets a few quid for the cause I'll be happy

snippy - 7/11/13 at 10:27 PM

I`m doing it this year, I`ve let the kids choose which style and a `Mexican bandit` it is! There are about 12 of us in my office all doing it. One of the ladies in the office will be judging all the mo`s on 30th November and the winner gets a very large cake.
Personally I`m looking forward to judging Fanuary next year!

So are you suggesting that the missus is growing a Mo instead on your behalf?

Had a full beard for a few years now, but never done the Mo thing. You've spurred me on and I shall get the kids to pick a style tonight and shave it in

I am not growing one, but my grandson who is 13, has quite a good one already, and he was well impressed I knew what it was for, as neither mum or dad knew what he was telling them !
