i-Phone and Talktalk email

Is anyone successfully sending talktalk emails on an iphone.

iphone 4s on T-mobile
Can send and receive emails if connected to wifi but can only receive if not on wifi.
iCloud email address will send or receive on either.

It seems T-Mobile, Apple and Talktalk will all take your money but not keen to help.

Anyone know anything about this stuff

Cheers

Ian

That sounds like you don't have "SMTP Authentication" turned on. Which basically means it needs a password in order to send from an unknown network.

Exactly the same for me too and always has been with T-mobile/Talk Talk. I`ve tried to change all sorts of settings from googling but to no avail. Just accept that I can`t send any e-mails unless near to a wifi
