duratec on throttle bodies

Hi this is just a thought but is it possible to fit throttle bodies and run the standard ecu if the throttle position sensor is connected would the ecu know and would it make much difference. I am just thinking in the spirit of locost.

You will probably need an airbox and the maf sensor connecting to it aswell as the oem lambda sensor(s). Also you will need the key and transponder and maybe the clocks to make the ecu work properly.
