Bonnet catches
Has anyone ever us d this type of fastener for bonnets? If so what are the thoughts of those that have?

Like the look of those. Thinking of using them but thought they were a bit expensive for what they are.

Yeah but demon thieves are always a little inflated, I'm searching around now I like them a lot different from the usual latches

my concern would be when the sping is worn it might give up with no worning, good for a flat panel not a bonnent on 7 .

Springs don't generally wear? In a lightly loaded spring in low temperature the creep should be so minimal it's not even worth

I considered them over aerocatches but didn't like the lack of lockability.

that and the fact that the load on them is pulling the same way that they open
but with the aerocatch the pin has to move at 90° to the load to release it and the mechanism doesn't take any of the load being applied to the
pin.
while I'm sure both are fine normally - a worn areocatch will rattle, but a worn one of those type might let go of the ball on teh end of the
pin....

There isn't an official U.K. Distributor , a French company looks after the whole of Europe (RRS Direct) there are a number on eBay, I'm

No amount of load would release the non lockable.
You need to fully de-press the centre section to release them.they are good

Ok so after numerous hours trawling the web, the best I can come up with are these -
