Rover V8 to mazda gearbox?

Anyone got any links to resources for mounting a rx7 gearbox behind a rover v8?

I wouldn't bother with Phil.......

Phil Pearson I think his name is.

I bought an early plate from him, most of the holes were about 5mm out, he promised he'd sort it several times, and has achieved precisely nothing. Never sent me anything new, stopped replying to emails, not responded to my Paypal request for money back, etc. I sent him the photos of the plate on an RX8 box where you can see how far out it is, he said "Yeah, that's crap, i'll sort it". Nothing.....

He does them all drilling through templates according to emails / discussion, not on cad or a proper jig, and so the quality just isn't there. On the TurboSport forum there's a really long discussion. Read it all if you have half an hour....

Over time you see him go from Hero to Zero (around August 2015 the comments turn bad, missed deliveries, no replies, etc), people complaining about waiting times and non-delivery, then he disappears.

Then there's a newer guy who does his with a waterjet I think, and he gets a lot of praise for taking over the mantle, so to speak.
The new guy is called Freddy686868 (or his userid is).

Up to you, you takes your chances, but that's my personal experience and that of a few people on other forums.

Fingers crossed you find a good one!

No idea about the RX7 box but by all accounts the bell housing of the popular RX8 conversion is too small for the Rover flywheel diameter.

Aye, I've tried my Toyota bellhousing and it's too small, but thinking of getting a rover bell end and making an adapter the gearbox side?

Any thoughts on that LIKE?

Or cut both bell bell housings at a mid way point and weld them together. I've done a rover v8 onto a Peugeot box that way, works perfectly
