Immobiliser??

Evening all wishing you all a happy new year,
Looking at fitting an Immobiliser to my car just wondering if many have done so and if there is a favoured/recommended system/manufacturer to use?
Many thanks

Sam

I fitted a Toad Sterling Excel. Activates and deactivates automatically.

Thanks for reply Ben I'm guessing it has a transponder type thing that attaches to keys? Is it reliant on the batteries in the fob being good? I'm just trying to work out what system is the least likely to ever leave me stranded.
Many thanks Sam

I went for a Clifford Virtual Key, sounds similar to above. Passive system with a small key fob. Not current range IIRC, but i found a new one on ebay a few years ago.

I just used a key locked switch on the bulkhead under the bonnet. Isolates the fuel pump if I leave the car anywhere

PS Got a load of them if anyone wants one?

My immobiliser cuts ECU power and fuel pump. The starter will still work when immobilised to attract maximum attention if someone tries to nick it.
