Duretec help

A friend of mine has a st150 fiesta duratec
Is it the same as a norm Mondeo 20l
I'm a zetec man so haven't a clue
Also does it run 31-1 crank trigger
With 90° trigger angle.
Many thanks Chris.

Yes and no.
Fiesta ST has a better flowing head
Block is the same except Mondeo has a dual mass flywheel Fiesta has a solid one
Trigger wheel is 32-1 tooth or 31+ a gap with 90 degree angle
Duratec don’t have timing marks and have interferance fit cam and crank pulleys
They use a pin to lock the crank at TDC and a bar to lock the cams

I eat to survive
I drink to forget
I breath to pi55 my ex wife off (and now my ex partner)

Essentially the same expect the head has been mildly ported in the factory and is known as a high port head. Not sure about differences in fueling and throttle body setup, though the fiesta single throttle body is quite restrictive. Bin the induction, fit itb’s and cams and it’ll give you 200bhp all day.

your right 36 teeth with one missing 36-1
Standard stuff 360 degrees, 10 degrees per tooth
Missing tooth is 90 degrees before TDC
Ecu does the rest

Hall sensor is a strange one for ignition sensing usually used for speedo where slow speed sensing is important.
If your Hall sensor is magnetic then should work, temp range is lower than BR but you won’t get lower than -40 and you shouldn’t get higher than 150 or your car is on fire

Cheers Chris just trying to get my head round it haven't messed with a ms for year built a few years ago and my early ms1 is still going strong in my car
If it hadn't been messed with it would be fine there's a few bits missing from the board where it's been modded so not sure if it's that straight forward it's for a mate just trying to sort it
I have got edis but need to find out how to get a pip and saw output if that's easier.
