Rover V8 into Locost

Will a Rover V8 and LT77 'box fit into a Locost without modifying the chassis other than changing engine/gearbox mounts? if so what rear axle would you recommend? Thanks in advance

When I built mine, I made my chassis 4" wider than book and it was still tight (see pics in archive). I used homebuilt IRS based on Sierra bits and pieces. Another member Craig 1410 built his around same time went the de dion route (and +4"

When I started building mine I did see a pic of a Rover V8 book car but have no idea what other mods needed doing.

Much as I love the R V8 there are so many better engines to go for now - I'd be inclined to go Jag V6 diesel, at least it'll get good mpg, far more torque and more bhp from a remap.
