boot lid

the boot was the only part of the vortx that really needed finishing(open boot)

so in true blue peter fasion i made one from a piese of marine ply(£4) some sticky backed plastic(fablon £3.25) and 2 locker locks(free)(thanks racer)

turned out quite well,and is totally water proof Rescued attachment boot final.jpg

Looks very neat Andy.
How did you fix the front part in so that it doesn't lift out with the air rushing over it.

with 2 dowels into each side piece,to make a invisible hinge(the dowels are stainless kitchin items about 3mm dia)
