New Airbox fitted.
Flamez - 6/9/09 at 10:17 AM

My new airbox arrived from Mac1 on Friday for my ZX10R and I went about fitting it today.

It was a relatively easy mod. The top rubbers and original airbox plate bolt to the underside. Rotate the fixing clamps so they can be accessed from the top side. I also had to extend the air temp sensor to reach, fitted my cone filter and hey presto it was finished.

I think its quieter than my previous " biscuit tin" box and also looks great and finishes the engine bay off nicely.

very nice air box, also how did your track day go,any videos?

Flamez - 6/9/09 at 04:11 PM

Trackday went fine although the cheap mount I bought was pants as the vibration wouldn't allow any filming.

Only my second time out in the car and I now need to push on a bit. I feel I'm too slow and conservative so next time I will attack the corners more and make greater use of the box etc.

I may have access to oulton in Nov with the bmw club at £99.

Nice box!

Was it developed on Rich's car? I know a year ago he was talking about developing a box to get his running better. If that is the result it looks great.

i cant take the credit for the design, thats all Mr Woodwards doing

He had something similar on his GSXR powered worX
