Horn Recommendations

I need a replacement horn.
Not something that gives innocent pedestrians a heart attack, but definitely something louder than most of the OEM horns which are often too quiet IMHO.
What would you recommend?

The PIAA dual tone horns are very good, significantly better than a regular car horn/s.

I have a Nautilus Air horn, it's pretty loud, comes with a relay. mine still works great after 10yrs on the car, it's something like 119 dB.

Available on ebay for <20 quid.

I like the spec of the PIAAs; small, lightweight, weather protection.
I also like the sound of the Bass option; nice and macho without being aggressive.
I don't like the £40 price, but I am not against buying quality items that last; I don't know if PIAA have a good reputation for lifespan.

I like the fact that the Nautilus is instant and there is no delay like some air horns.
They seem popular with car and motorbike.
I see some Chinese copies on Ebay for less than £20-£25.
The original Stebel Nautilus seem to start at £30.
YouTube sound clip confirms it is LOUD.

I've had a set on my van for several years now, when i feel the need to use them no one ignores it

Building my MK INdy i used the horn from my donor Sierra. Passed SVA and was loud enough for other road users to hear.

That said I've always been a fan of the OEM horns Peugeot used on 205 GTIs. Don't know the make/model, but I'm sure something similar is available as aftermarket option.

You'll do well to see a 205 GTI on the roads. There aren't many about now and those that are tend to be owned by enthusiats who proably won't have them on the road this time of year
