Blacktop Canister Valve Resistance?

Hi guys,

Looking to try have no active codes on my Blacktop and not having the canister valve, I am planning putting a resistor in. Does anyone know what the valve resistance is or resistor size to fit? I don't have a valve to measure etc.

Cheers!!!

I’ve fitted a 2w 12v bulb on a little bracket under the dash.

Hi ya!!!!

Sounds like about 70 - 80 ohms.
Will see what I have around. Might have something, even a bulb too if needed.

Many thanks!!!!

I have had a meter on one but I can’t remember. You want a small enough current flow to cause no damage but enough so the ecu thinks the valve is working.

Oh and As it’s looking for current flow you want a bulb not an led

Yep. 2W does sound about right for a solenoid.
If I had the original, I could have fitted that behind the dash lol
