Hybrid Electric System.

Hi all.
I am about done with my electric system.
I would like to post learned lessons to help someone else thinking about wiring.
- Read a lot. Use the search function.
- A pre-made loom will help, but it´s not necessary.
- Buy a little bit more connectors (well a little more than a little) than the amount you think you´ll need.
- Go slow, if you hit a snag, leave it for tomorrow... Pillow time has done wonders on my project.
- Heed instructions on Loom manual, or any other guide you find.
- Remember, before committing to a component final location/cable routing, remember that no two bodies can occupy the same place in space, no matter what type of witchcraft you use...

What I did.
- Arranged cables as per Loom Manufacturers Instruction.
- Commited to a location for Fuse Box and cable routings.
I am using a Daewoo Matiz Column and Acewell Tach/Speedo Combo so...
-I Routed cables from the Matiz Column to a Terminal Strip
-I routed all cables from the Acewell unit to another Terminal Strip.
- Routed All cables from the Terminal Strip Area to its appropriate locations in car, make sure cable is long enough Here´s where a pre made loom was helpful as it had plenty of wire to do so and then some…
- Spare Cables were terminated at Terminal strips to aid in future expansion (not that I´m planning so..)
- Made a manual that matched cable colors and which Loom cable converted to which terminal strip…
- Started with simple circuits first –horn, reverse lights, dash lights, lighter, and left difficult ones for last –Hazards, Ligths, Turn Signal.

I still have to connect Hazards and Turn Signals, but with experience gained on previous circuits, Id does not look as daunting as at the beginning.

Thank you to Snowy2, Loggyboy, 02GF74, and some others that I can´t find their post….

But not until I saw the thread on the home page of LB...
