First run out

Finally got my plates through and took her out for a spin.
Goes ok with the CVH, I've no increased the jets to 1.6mm (from 1.4mm stock) and moved the carb needs one notch. Thinking of 1.7mm jets to help with the top end.
Its a torquey engine low down and pulls nice but not as revy as i would like (the zetec will come in the winter).
Impressed with how she drives and handles, I had to buy some driving shoes (puma) so I could drive it properly and with the small steering wheel it was a lot easier to drive.

How to stop the rear suspension creaking? hoping it will bed in soon!

Looks great (but I am biased, I have same colour bodywork apart from having white front arches), hope you have a great summer of driving it!!!

Its a great feeling!! I got my plates in Feb and have done just over 500 miles now!

My rear end creeks a little too!

Enjoy it!

The rear ends just creek but the right foot down stops me hearing it...

Enjoy

Nice to get it on the road

Ours still creeks seems short term fix by re-greasing.. Thinking of fitting grease nipples... Do make sure the suspension is free, creaking can also mean binding (search for wishbone failure).. Rule of thumb is wishbones just stay up with own weight (no upright), any more than this something is binding...
