Grand Vitara 1.9 DPF Pipes
T66 - 10/4/14 at 08:02 AM

The car has had a CEL for a while, and the dpf light on the dash. Got myself a OBD reader and cleared the fault code. Light came back on so I have just had a look at the dpf.

the two pipes coming out of the top of the dpf are split/perished. They are just rubber pipes living too close to something hot. Short term Ive cut the perished end off the worst pipe and put it back on.

I can either pay Suzuki £80 for new pipes, but whats the verdict if I use some suitable oil line hose. DPFs are new on me, seem like a complete fek on to get you paying the dealer piles of money. Do I use oil pipe and see what happens ???

Locost as always.....

If oil pipe is cheap enough to not fret over replacing (should the break next week) then go for it as far as I'm concerned. Especially if it drives fine without them even connected

I've got a couple of rolls of the DPF pressure sensor pipe. If you still need some let me know the size.
