Zetec Cams and Exhaust manifold

Hi I'm new to the site but I must say everyone has been very welcoming so far

I have a couple of questions!

Where would I get a 4-1 manifold for my locost Zetec and what would I expect to pay?

Also the engine is in bits how do I know which cam is exhaust or inlet? I've had a quick look and one cam has 20 and the other has 21 in the casting? It's a silver top if that makes any difference?

Thanks
Mark

The inlet cam, driver side when fitted in the locost has cam position sensor lobes, at the non pulley end for the cam sensor to read. The exhaust cam doesn't.

The Gbs mani' is cheap and cheerful for most 7's. Second-hand Westfields are another. All depending on if you want the exhaust to go over the top rail or through the side panel. The Tiger Avon chassis is different to most 7's so that exhaust wouldn't fit a "Ron" Locost with out modifications to the chassis. On mine I had a Fisher sports cars mani' if you can still get them, again an entry level item but I was pleased with it.

I'm after something at the lower end of the market to be honest, i think i prefer them coming through the side at the minute!!!

I've looked for second-hand ones but they don't seem to come up for sale very often

where or who sells the Gbs ones?

thanks
mark

The Gbs exhaust is available through Kit spares and at £200 is as cheap as they get for a new one.

http://www.kitspares.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=43_24&product_id=730&car=43

The only of the shelf option I know off is the Westfield and new that will be something like twice the price.

You don't say what it's too go on as that will make a difference.

I've just noticed the one I've linked to is for the GT zero and is the wider one they do.

Don't forget that Westfield CVH manifolds can easily be made to fit a Zetec.
Might give you another option.
