Defying the laws of physics?

http://www.carscoops.com/2013/11/devel-sixteen-hyper-claims-5000hp-0-100.html

5000 horsepower and a top speed of 350mph... Firstly, outside of a drag car is there a gearbox that could cope with 5000hp, and secondly wouldn't there need to be some pretty special aerodynamics going on to get to 350mph?

And don't even get me started on the size of the brake discs they decided to use... I guess they don't expect any to actually stop under their own steam...

There'll be an equation somewhere.
I suspect those figures are unlikely tbh.

thats an abomination. looks like a rich boys childhood wet dream. i would hazard a guess that a billionaire got a little but poorer a few engineers got very rich.

I'm imagining a 40 lap race at, lets say, Cadwell, between that POS and a Spire GT3 or similar RGB car with only 200hp. My money is on the Spire 'cos after twenty laps he'll be the only one with any brakes left. Or tyres, probably. Or fuel, definitely.

If it gets that fast, those tiny little brakes won't stop it!

it looks like a poor mock up of a dangerous idea formed in the desert one night,... the sort of what if we had a million hp then we could go as fast as we want,.... conversation.

in fact for mr bloke saying it was all carbon, it looked like mdf to me, I'm sure I have seen some of those parts at ikea,.....

finally since it was the 2013 show, no doubt we would have heard lots about it had it been a wild success,.... ?

Just love the batmobile exhausts with a hint of afterburner. I think it's a p*** take thrown together for a few thousand as a rich sheiks joke.

Dunno what the equation is but 1300 bhp can take a car up to 275.

Top fuel dragsters hit 330 mph with around 8,500 hp but arent aerodynamic.

From the above i would say the claimed performance is a tad optimistic.

Do i see the rear spoiler held on by rivets?

I quite like it, apart from the stupid exhausts.

My first thought was, errr no.
Promptly followed by what a scam.
Please Mr Oil rich Sheik, fancy putting a deposit of one of these, limited edition don't wanna miss out do you.
Then run with the money, would probably only need 1 or 2 deposits to show a healthy profit!
