Personally, I like the DeLorean and if the prices came down a bit I might try for one.

One of 907's mates has one. It turns up at his summer BBQ.

Nice concept, but I'm not that impressed after having seen one in the flesh.
Its powered by a Renault V6. Sorry but a car that looks like the De-Lorean does, should have nothing less than a V8 in it.

The Renault V6 is more than enough.
Remember the top speed is only 88mph

Renault did the 2.5 V6 Turbo in the Ren 25 turbo (et al) and that was a stonking engine and a fab car. A friends old man had one and I loved it!

I love em, prob only because of 'back to the future', disappointed when I saw one up close (without the flux capacitor!), but still an all time favourite for me!

PS : edited due to iPhone autocorrect!!!!!

The engine was called a PRV engine, ie. Peugeot / Renault / Volvo. It was designed to be used in these manufacturers cars and John Z decided to fit it to his DMC12. From memory there was some dispute with Colin Chapman at the time as to the fitting a European engine into a car that was designed for the American market.
