some old skool diagnostics

kit is booked for MOT tomorrow so I need to move Land Rover out of the way. Hasn't been run for a while and I think the battery is on its way out as after 4 hours of charging, it is turning over but not impressively.

a drop of petrol on the K&Ns and no sign of the v8 catching so time for some old skool diagnostics.

took the lead from coil to distributor off, and stuck a spark plug on it, turned over and no spark hmmmm...

next got a piece of blue wire, bared the ends in order to ground the distributor side of the coil ..... then noticed the plug from the distributor to the lumenition ignition module had drop off!! hmmmmmm

HTF did that happen ......???

plugged it in and engine fired ... a bit more charge into the battery and I am reasonably confident it will move sometime today!
