If you use a dolly the car has to be road legal, taxed and insured.

I have a lot to do with a company called big bear hire in East northants who have a couple of car trailers but abit far for you. But as the other chaps have said I'd use a trailer over a dolly.

There is a place in Leigh park. It's about £35 a day if I recall. It used to be called atlas trailers but I'm not 100% sure now. It's worth a Google.
atlas trailers it says £48 but I'm sure they have a massive banner saying £35.

I would have bought an Octavia but for the towing limit. Went for a Passat as it's limit is 1700kg.
I believe the Octavia is 1400kg.

My trailer is a 3100 x 1800mm so just fits an MX5 on it and weighs 420kg. An MX5 goes 1000kg.

Some car trailers that companies hire weigh more than 400kg.
Just thought I'd mention it.
