Hi Fellas
Final major thing to do - fit the bonnet
Any top tips or advice from the experts ?

Thanks

Just a few tips.

The edge that fits next under the scuttle has to be well supported by a few brackets, or it will sag.

The bonnet will have a tendancey to bounce as you drive over bumps. Sake sure your latches/catches are sturdy.

The edge that sits on top of the sill, behind the wheel has a tendancy to splay out with the weight of the bonnet, especially if it bounces. I had to put guide brackets behind the bonnet to stop it splaying out and dropping over the lower sill.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

Thanks

Started it today with a small section of ali u channel top centre at the scuttle and will continue along that "line" to make the gaps as good as can be and to help the bonnet to conform.
Sides will be aero locks so think these will be quite sturdy, was thinking of using some thick ali bars i have to spread the load at the front end on the fibre glass inserts by putting them between the insert and brackets and running them across the flat floor to help take up any flex on the inserts - if it causes any cracking in the gel coat it will be so low that only the odd insect will see it !
